Could you be the full-time onsite Overhaul Projects Manager in Newark, NJ, (Newark Airport) US we’re looking for?


Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your project management and technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.
You'll play a key role in managing the overhaul and refurbishment of the Newark SDC fleet, ensuring the successful delivery of a $10 million annual contract. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (vendors, contractors, engineers, and technicians), oversee daily vehicle overhaul activities, monitor progress on installations and testing, and identify solutions to potential timeline or product challenges, and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • Full-time engagement with and constant monitoring of Vendors, Contractors, and Engineers as it relates to the Vehicle CARP project. ,

  • Meeting safety requirements, payment milestones, and budget goals. ,

  • Collecting and reviewing reports on test results, installation progress, equipment performance, and system access scheduling. ,

  • Identifying potential product and timeline issues and providing viable solutions and mitigations. ,

  • Overseeing day-to-day vehicle overhaul activities. ,

  • Ensuring synergies between CARP and O&M daily planning and execution. ,

  • Attending and reporting at daily pass-down meetings. ,

  • Leading and managing a team of direct and indirect reports, ensuring their development and alignment with project goals. ,

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the customer and ensuring customer satisfaction. ,

  • Supporting the continuous improvement of processes and project execution to meet Alstom’s standards of excellence."

  • Degree in business or technical field (Associate’s degree required, BS/BA preferred). ,

  • Experience or understanding of project management in industrial/technical environments, particularly with budgets exceeding $5 million. ,

  • Knowledge of rolling stock systems and their overhauls. ,

  • Familiarity with budgeting and finance principles. ,

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. ,

  • Problem-solving abilities to address technical and interpersonal challenges. ,

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage priorities and provide clear feedback. ,

  • Ability to monitor and coordinate complex technical issues using project management techniques. ,

  • Proficiency in overseeing day-to-day operational activities and ensuring alignment with long-term goals. ,

  • Adaptability to work in high-visibility roles requiring customer interaction and approval.
