As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the primary source of engineering expertise at the site for one or more major systems.


Your responsibilities will include: 


  • Provide technical direction for engineering, maintenance, and repair activities as the technical expert for assigned system(s) (Power Distribution System). Participate in department budget development;
  • Lead reliability improvement projects within a specified budget and timeline;
  • Analyze major service interruptions and create engineering incident reports which include  root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA);
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance programs for site systems assigned in accordance with contractual requirements, customer and company directives, and prescribed practices for specific equipment;
  • Develop and deliver technical training, testing and certification documents;
  • Initiate, document and follow through with field requests, temporary change notices, field modification instructions and improvements to systems, components and procedures through proper Company channels using established methods for such requests.


Key requirements:


  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.Power Distribution a plus;
  • You have one (1) year of engineering or technical experience with a strong interest in the public transportation industry. Design, Project Management, Operations and Maintenance experience are a plus;
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and coordinate complex technical issues using various methods including data analysis. Ability to communicate effectively as it relates to conveying clear, concise engineering solutions;  
  • Excellent English communication skills, advanced both written and spoken.
