Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and safety of depot machines, plant equipment, and other critical infrastructure. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as project management, quality, and maintenance teams), oversee depot equipment operations and maintenance, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing depot equipment such as compressors, overhead cranes, mobile wheel lathes, and hybrid loco shunters, but also ensure compliance with safety certifications and environmental standards.
We’ll look to you for:

Ensuring the availability and reliability of depot machines and plant equipment

Managing plant maintenance teams and their workloads

Supervising the execution of commissioning, validation, and field modification activities

Overseeing compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) rules and processes

Collaborating with customer depot management and external suppliers
-
Managing infrastructure budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities
-
Performing risk assessments and implementing control measures
-
Driving continuous improvement initiatives in equipment maintenance and site operations

Degree or diploma in electrical, mechanical, or a relevant engineering field

8+ years of experience in rail depot plant equipment and machine maintenance management

Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical maintenance techniques

Strong knowledge of EHS standards, local legislation, and environmental compliance

Experience in managing large teams and resources

Understanding of railway depot operations and safety standards

Proficiency in SAP, MS Office tools, and other relevant software

Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills

Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
