Could you be the full-time Planning Engineer- Fleet and Project in New Delhi we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your fleet management and project planning expertise in a dynamic and collaborative field. You’ll work alongside proactive and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our fleet, contributing to the reliability and availability of our services. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as the Fleet and Maintenance Manager, Engineering, Train Movement, and Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety (RAMS) teams), coordinate train movement in the depot, and oversee depot planning to optimize usage, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of scheduling maintenance exams and monitoring planned resources, but also support project fleet strategy and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Providing up-to-date information on fleet status to internal and external customers.

  • Scheduling and prioritizing maintenance exams to maintain high fleet availability.

  • Reacting to train failures and minimizing service disruptions in collaboration with operators.

  • Optimizing depot usage and managing service delivery in line with contractual requirements.

  • Supervising vehicle movements within the depot.

  • Leading, coaching, and developing the fleet planners team (if applicable).

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical diploma qualifications (e.g., Higher National Certificate, Ordinary National Certificate, City & Guilds, or recognized equivalent).

  • Planning experience in a maintenance environment.

  • Knowledge of quality and safety systems.

  • A general understanding of rail vehicle maintenance requirements.

  • Experience working in a service site or production environment.

  • Proficiency in IT tools such as office packages, SAP, and planning tools (e.g., MS Project, PMS).

  • Good communication, report writing, and organizational skills.

  • Fluency in [COUNTRY LANGUAGE].
