Your job as Business Development Manager:


  • Boost services pipeline and order intake by acting, in coordination with the Regions, directly as opportunities Business Developer or by supporting Clusters/Countries in the development of Country’s Strategic Plan, and in the opportunity’s assessment, development and follow-up of Capture Plans, up to Win No Go for major or strategic services opportunities.






Key accountabilities:

  • Directly with final customer and in coordination with the Region, define and implement Business Development strategy and activities, in “less mature” areas on opportunities above 100 M Euros up to WNG (Win No Go)
  • Promote global transversal approaches on strategic Services initiatives (Locomotives; non-AT Fleets, O&M, etc..)
  • Support developing and validating capture plans for Services Opportunities for key-strategic opportunities


When working directly on the Opportunity Development:

  • Define and implement a complete Opportunity Development plan including possible partnerships
  • Timely Business anticipation to Influence the prospect’s specifications in the interest of both Alstom and Customer and adoption of Find Plan process systematically
  • Ensure careful preparation/smooth hand over to Tender Leaders and continuing support as required at tender phase


When supporting Region /Clusters / Countries :

  • Assure that transversal Global Services Sales approaches are applied
  • Work with Sales teams to develop strong capture plans for strategic Services Opportunities 
  • Work with Cluster and Countries managers to develop best in class Country Strategic Plans for what concerns Services



The educational requirements :

  • Master of Business Administration or in Engineering




The experience required :  


  • At least 10 years’ experience in rail industry: Rolling Stock, System and Services projects and/or sales.
  • International experience and exposure to different kind of Customers: Public, Private, Gov Entities, etc.
  • Experience interfacing & leading teams internationally located

  • Proficient level of English
