Could you be the Warehouse Supervisor we’re looking for?
Your future role:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will provide leadership and support to your team to ensure the efficient operation of warehouse activities. Your primary responsibilities will include managing inventory processes, ensuring the same-day turnaround of receipts and shipments, and overseeing cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. You will communicate daily with various departments to execute internal plans and will step in to manage operations in the Warehouse Manager's absence.
We’ll look to you for:
- Leading and directing Material Handlers in the warehouse and on-site customer locations to meet safety and production standards.
- Managing the inventory cycle count program and reconciling discrepancies in coordination with the management team.
- Training and developing warehouse personnel through cross-training initiatives and implementing best practices.
- Conducting regular oversight of operations, including goods receipts, shipments, cycle counting, and quality reporting.
- Proactively troubleshooting and resolving operational issues to enhance material flow and warehouse efficiency.
- Generating and interpreting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to inform management decisions.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
All about you:
We value passion and attitude over experience. While we don’t expect you to have every single skill, here are some that will help you thrive in this role:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management practices.
- Proficient in SAP or another Inventory ERP system, with the ability to navigate and execute all necessary transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
- Solid organizational and planning skills, with a keen ability to solve problems efficiently.
- Familiarity with domestic and international shipping requirements and compliance regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current forklift certification and any necessary safety certifications.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate’s Degree or High School diploma with relevant experience in warehouse operations.
- Training or certification in Dangerous Goods (DG) shipping is a plus.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting, documentation, and communication.
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. When you step onto one of our trains with your friends and family, you’ll take pride in playing a part in that journey. If you’re ready for the challenge, we would love to hear from you!
