Could you be the full-time onsite Material Planner in New Castle, DE, US we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain and planning expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates. You'll play a critical role in ensuring seamless inventory management and supporting Alstom’s mission to deliver greener and smarter mobility solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, Operations, Engineering), provide resolution to key shortage issues, and contribute to inventory reduction projects for slow, excess, and obsolete materials, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

Managing inventory to achieve project or company targets, ensuring no stock-outs and minimizing excess or slow-moving inventory,
-
Executing Service Supply Chain business goals with supporting metrics such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and material line accuracy,
-
Planning and managing inventory for production departments, including parts planning analysis and inventory management for multiple site locations and 3rd party subcontract suppliers,
-
Interacting with Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, Operations, and Engineering to schedule inventories to support projects, production, and 3rd party sales,
-
Collaborating with forecast or demand planning to ensure inventory planning aligns with the most current and accurate forecasts,
-
Performing lead time analysis and monitoring supplier performance metrics to ensure timely deliveries,
-
Managing inventory reduction projects for slow, excess, and obsolete materials, as well as providing end-of-life product analysis and forecasts,
-
Utilizing ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to maintain data integrity and support inventory management,

Preparing and analyzing short- and long-range capacity plans to align with business needs.

Experience with material planning, inventory management, service levels, and supply performance,

Preffered previous experience as Warehouse Clerk / Receiving Clerk / Material Planner / Order Processing Specialist / Production Planner / Procurement Specialist,

Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and processes,
-
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms,
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word,
- Strong knowledge of inventory control methods, including safety stock and reorder point calculations,

Demonstrated ability to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively,
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment,
-
Experience performing lead time analysis and monitoring supplier performance metrics,
-
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, logistics).
