Could you be the full-time Direct Buyer we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and contract management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, forward-thinking, and results-oriented teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful selection, contracting, and management of suppliers, directly impacting the quality and on-time delivery of our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as engineering, project management, and legal), lead project negotiations, and oversee supplier contract execution, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of preparing and launching Requests for Quotation with suppliers, but also ensure compliance with Alstom's Code of Ethics and the highest standards of ethical conduct.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Setting up and managing the full supplier selection process

  • Creating supplier contracts and overseeing their execution

  • Leading project negotiations

  • Monitoring procurement project QCDT (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Time) and legal project evolution

  • Ensuring work package sheet commitments are met

  • Preparing business awards

  • Managing supplier contracting activities and coordinating projects across all métiers

  • Securing on-time delivery and quality, especially during the ramp-up phase of projects

  • Consolidating commodity needs and inputs

  • Actively participating in commodity strategy and panel development

  • Providing insights to build differentiation and supporting Commodity Managers during tender phases

  • Representing commodities in projects, platforms, and solutions

  • Ensuring effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders to solve problems

  • Applying the Alstom Procurement process and providing feedback for continuous improvement

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience in procurement, supplier management, or contract negotiation

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier quality management

  • Familiarity with legal and contractual frameworks

  • A certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, ISM) is a plus

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and functions
