You’ll specifically take care of planning and executing transportation flows, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate performance dashboards, but also support global transportation performance management and process harmonization across sites.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Documenting and maintaining the site transportation plan, including routing guides for all transportation modes.
-
Ensuring timely transportation requests, shipment readiness, and accurate shipment statuses in the information system.
-
Managing shipping documents and collaborating with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
-
Monitoring budgets, approving invoices, and solving operational issues related to transportation and logistics.
-
Leading the site’s shipment/expediting department and deploying transportation strategies aligned with business needs.
-
Supporting the global transportation performance management by implementing KPIs, designing reports, and analyzing cost performance.
-
Driving consistency in process mapping, systems, and data collection for harmonization across sites.
-
Facilitating continuous improvement and transformation of the transportation organization through performance analysis and optimization initiatives.
-
Supporting project-specific transportation needs, including out-of-gauge (OOG) transportation of rolling stock components.
-
Providing expertise as a site customs referent, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and contributing to team training on customs requirements.
