Supplier Quality Development Engineer

Position in the Organisation

Mission & Responsibilities

HOMOLOGATION OF STRATEGIC SUPPLIERS

Ensure a clear evaluation of those suppliers (panel or new) based on :

1. Iris (International Railway Industry Standard) or Quality System

2. Quick Industrial Assessment

3. Process Audit

4. Co-Development audit

5. Quick Supply Chain assessment

For suppliers not meeting Alstom Transport's requirements: drive a recovery action plan with the supplier

 

COMMODITY MANAGEMENT

Ensure:

1. Monthly Domain / Commodity review with Sourcing, Sites and regions

2. Regular Quality Reviews with Key Suppliers

3. Global performance animation internally on main KPI’s

4. Work as a team with Alstom Transport sites /regions in order to guarantee the deployment of the strategy (Sourcing & Supplier Quality)

 

SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT

1-Ensure annual Supplier Improvement plan based on performance analysis

2- Support sourcing by participating to QBR/QQR meetings

3-Perform trainings in order to improve supplier's knowledge and ability to meet Alstom's requirements

4-For top worst suppliers: work with Alstom Transport sites and the concerned supplier in order to exit the top worst status

5- Work as a team with the SQA network in order to identify key development actions to be led at supplier place

 

REPORTING, TOOL AND NETWORK

1- Provide regular feedback to Sourcing and Supplier Quality community regarding supplier performance and KPIs

2- Ensure on time issuance of the relevant Supplier Quality reporting: weekly report, monthly dashboard...

3- Enforce the application of all standards across its network

4- Participate to standards and processes improvement and creation

5- Ensure the respect of Alstom Transport's instructions, code of ethics and EHS rules

 

Educational requirements

Technical and/or Quality Engineering degree

Technical Knowledge / Experience

   5+ years  in a manufacturing Engineering or a responsible quality function.

· Quality tools experienced

· Processes knowledge on Quality and industrial level

Job Location / Mobility

· To be defined, frequent international travels

Behavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies

· Ability to work in a matrix organisation

· Analytical ability

· Fluent in Englishdidate requirements

· Autonomous, with excellent relationship skills

· Technical knowledge of some railway commodities
