Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical troubleshooting expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll ensure the availability and reliability of locomotives, making a significant impact on the efficiency and safety of our operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Industrial Quality, Loco Operation, and external stakeholders like Indian Railways), troubleshoot locomotive technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting locomotive systems during service operations and warranty periods, but also contribute to reliability growth and sharing best practices.
We’ll look to you for:

Ensuring troubleshooting on locomotives during service operations and warranty periods according to state-of-the-art practices

Maintaining the validity and certification of relevant tools
-
Populating and managing relevant failure databases (e.g., FRACAS, Railsys Light)
-
Guaranteeing efficient information flow within the troubleshooting team

Contributing to reliability growth and the return of experience
-
Providing support in special cases (e.g., FMI)
-
Respecting EHS rules and adhering to all work-related processes

Minimum of an engineering degree/diploma (Electrical) from a recognised university

IT literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, software uploading/downloading)

Fluency in English, with proficiency in Hindi being advantageous

Understanding of electrical schematics
-
Experience or familiarity with troubleshooting traction, TCMS, brakes, blowers, lighting, and bogie systems
-
Skills in software uploading and downloading, as well as data analysis
-
Proven experience in troubleshooting various defects in locomotives (e.g., WAG5, WAG7, WAG9, WAP series) or metro systems
-
Ability to read and understand schematic drawings and software specifications

Knowledge of locomotive power circuits, DJ control circuits, auxiliary power circuits, traction power circuits, pneumatic circuits, and SMGR circuits
