Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and project management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our project portfolio by ensuring the achievement of quality, cost, delivery, and performance (QCDP) objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including project managers, engineering, and operations teams), manage customer and stakeholder relationships, and define and implement strategic goals for bids and projects, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing a group of Sub-System Managers, ensuring their capability and availability to deliver on the project portfolio, but also oversee tenders and project deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Achieving, improving, and optimizing QCDP objectives for the project portfolio

  • Managing and developing the Sub-System Managers team

  • Ensuring the effective application of ALSTOM Project Management methodology and applicable standards

  • Regularly reporting key issues and risks to the Site Management team

  • Defining medium- and long-term strategies for the site, particularly in project and bid management

  • Managing customer and external stakeholder relationships

  • Overseeing tenders deliverables and ensuring alignment with project and bid function costing

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A degree in business management, engineering, or a related field

  • Experience in leading projects and/or bids with number of stakeholders

  • Experience or understanding of project and bid management methodologies

  • Knowledge of product systems and industrial concepts related to train/bogie manufacturing

  • Familiarity with certifications such as PMP, IPMA, or Prince 2 (advantageous)

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, including remote teams

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of French or German is an additional advantage

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with diverse and supportive teams

  • Contribute to innovative and impactful projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning opportunities

  • Progress towards leadership roles or other career advancements

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
