Job Title

Project, Work Package & Nola Depot Controller

Purpose of the Job

  • To assure the economic and financial management of the projects, following company procedures and ensuring the risks and opportunities are followed in order to meet the project financial targets
  • to ensure actual costs recorded and guarantee the analysis of the ETC (estimate to complete) of a given Work Package
  • to ensure that WP QCD commitment is properly backed-up/documented and monitored on a monthly basis
  • Supports the Work Package Owners in the controlling/financial management of their Work Packages
  • Ensure proper financial set-up of the Site
  • Brings to Site Management a regular true and fair view of Site activity
  • Ensure compliance Group accounting standards (IFRS15) and Internal Control rules & principles via Shared Services service were applicable (accounting related matters)
  • Deploys all financial means and all Sector/PL tools & methodologies to ensure industrial/business efficiency and performance targets are properly followed at site level

Mission

Objectives

  • To ensure that project finance situation as reported in Sector Project Reviews is accurate and sincere in respect with Alstom rules
  • To ensure accuracy Costs data, as well as IFRS15 criteria application
  • To review and validate in full transparency the QCD performance vs commitment for the work packages to be delivered and reported in the WP Reports

  • Reportings accurate and on time
  • Respect of ALSTOM rules & processes
  • Quality and accuracy of Project Reviews financial data
  • Monitoring risks and opportunity according the company rules
  • Support to Project Managers on finance related issues
  • Achieving of Project Finance targets
  • Monitoring Site KPIs

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the necessary conditions for achievement of the Project’s financial targets
  • Be the economic and financial advisor of the Project Manager
  • Prepare, along with the PM, the periodic Project Reviews, including the Project Cost Monitoring and provide all the relevant financial analysis
  • Control the project results through close involvement with the Project Manager
  • Assure customer invoicing is done (by accounting) as soon as possible and play an active role in achieving payment from customer in due time. Process supplier invoices
  • Use of Project processes and tools (ADEL, SAP, etc)
  • Specifically follow-up the implementation of cash improvement actions and promote the cash culture in the project
  • Manage the budget / forecast of the project
  • Manage the order placement process for Work Packages
  • Review the Contract Database data from sites and its compliance with last SPR’s decisions
  • Participate in meetings and all decision making concerning financial or contractual aspects of the project
  • Challenge the cost to complete in order to maximize the project margin
  • Control & back-up the WP costs elements for a tender and ensures commitment is obtained from the operational managers
  • Support the Work Package Owner in the financial management of his Work Package
  • Support the WP Owner in the WP Review with the project/Platform
  • Calculate the WP costs since Situation 0
  • Prepare and review WP Report : Actuals & cost at completion, ensure individual risks are properly assessed and mitigation plans in place
  • Review and analyse WP working capital (inventories in particular)

 

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements

University degree (possible in Economics)

 

Desired Knowledge / Experience

  • Preferably some experience in same position or in controlling area of industrial company
