Could you be the VIE - Indirect Buyer Services we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your sourcing and procurement expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking team of professionals.
You'll play a key role in supporting Alstom’s Canadian and U.S. operations by leading sourcing activities for a variety of goods and services. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, Finance, and more), manage vendor relationships, analyze data, and ensure compliance with Alstom’s standards and processes.
You’ll specifically take care of executing sourcing strategies, managing e-procurement platforms, and overseeing vendor management tools, but also support internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance and best practices.
We’ll look to you for:
- Leading sourcing activities for indirect commodities to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives
- Developing and implementing cost-saving and service-level improvement plans
- Managing vendor relationships and assessing performance
- Ensuring supplier compliance with contracts and Alstom’s standards
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define scopes of work, KPIs, and SLAs
- Managing e-procurement tools, vendor management platforms, and catalogues

- Master’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, or Business
- One or more years of experience in indirect sourcing or related activities
- Proficiency in both French and English
- Experience or general knowledge of e-procurement tools
- Strong data gathering and analysis skills
- Ability to develop scopes of work, KPIs, and SLAs with internal stakeholders
- Experience in managing commercial and contractual supplier relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in SAP or other ERP systems (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Professional communication skills in a multi-cultural environment
- Customer-focused mindset and a team-oriented approach
