Join us as Technical Advisor - Electrical, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Montreal (QC), CA.

 

Develop training and train employees with maintenance staff to increase their ability to find the causes of problems and repair equipment. Provide technical expertise for diagnosis related to electrical and mechanical problems of locomotives and cars. Assess the technical skills of maintenance personnel. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as within time slots that may correspond to the different shifts applicable to maintenance personnel, even on weekends, from time to time.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to maintenance personnel on the execution of the maintenance master program.
  • Investigate systems or parts with problems to determine the cause of the poor performance.
  • Collaborates with staff and the customer on technical objects.
  • Support the Quality Assurance Group with technical audits.
  • Assist in the development, modification, and testing of equipment.
  • Proposal to improve equipment, practices, and maintenance program.
  • Assess the technical skills of maintenance personnel.
  • Assist supervisors in the management and discipline of maintenance personnel

 

REQUIRED PROFILE:

 

  • College diploma or equivalent
  • 5 -10 years of experience required
  • Must understand technical procedures and drawings.
  • Must have extensive electrical experience at the railway level.

Languages:

  • French. English is an asset
