Our most recent project is the Réseau express métropolitain (REM). REM will be the fourth largest automated transportation system in the world once completed and is also the largest public transit project in Quebec since the Montreal Metro. The future integrated network will link downtown Montreal, the South and North Shores, the West Island and the airport. Alstom is looking for qualified candidates to fill positions on this exciting new chapter of urban transit in Montreal.

Description :


  • Manage the controlling and financial reporting of the project in accordance with internal control rules
  • Ensure project accounting is in accordance with Company guidelines & IFRS regulations (cost to cost revenue recognition,…)
  • Ensure consistency of the inputs with internal partners
  • Analyze the execution performance and propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile as well as corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
  • Support the Project Director and all other project functions as a finance partner
  • Support project financial consolidation, including periodical consolidated Project Review and, coordinate inputs to and from all Alstom partners in the projects
  • Have a clear understanding of the project documents and systems and actively manage any financial implications arising from them
  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure consistent accounting and reporting across the project.
  • Ensure that all financial processes and internal controls, including DoA, are implemented, robust and compliant
  • Take overall responsibility of all financial issues on the project, from pre-contract award, to contract close
  • Have at all times knowledge of financial movements and ensure that such information is consistent and reconciled on a regular basis in the ERP systems
  • Manage the interfaces with other expert functions: tax, treasury, insurance, contract management, …
  • Provide support for accurate claim compilation and ensuring total consistency of all internal and external claims in the project financials
  • Provide support for correct risk and opportunity recognition, valuation, sharing and associated reporting
  • Work closely with HR and tax experts in order to ensure that allocated project staff on-shore related issues are managed in accordance with local laws and regulations





  • 5+ years experience in Project Control
  • Ability to be autonomous in a challenging environment & multiple projects
  • Ability to act as a Business Partner, supporting the operational team on a daily basis
  • Leadership, coordination of multiple Alstom stakeholders and foreign country Alstom sites
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Fluent in French & English
