The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
The Project Verification & Validation (V&V) Leader is responsible to coordinate all activities to make a fully Validated, Verified, and Integrated signaling project deployment according to Alstom's core technical processes and the project contractual requirements (data center infrastructure, Scada, Management System, Control System, Cybersecurity). The V&V Leader works as part of the project core team under functional leadership of the Project Engineering Manager and reports directly to the V&V Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
You will be in charge to:
- Lead the V&V process application for the project, methods & tools, and formulate derogation when necessary
- Define the project V&V strategy and produce the project Verification and Validation Plan
- Organize the different kick-off for the specification verifications, factory tests sessions of all the sub-systems and system
- Coordinate and ensure that the factory testing (via various means) provides a full coverage to guarantee a correct implementation of the functional and safety requirements
- Coordinate and monitor the factory verification, integration, and validation activities for the project
- Ensure all the project data parameter are verified and validated
- Organize and lead the strategy review and documentation of all activities for verification and validation
- Write the Project Verification and Validation report for each project baseline, collate and summarize test performed at various stages, formalize restriction, and propose temporary solution to non-conformities
- Ensure the role independence between writer and verifier during verification phase
- Ensure communication interface between factory V&V and Test and Commissioning teams
- Leads or participate in technical discussions with customer. Works closely with Project engineering manager involving potential modifications to specifications, verification of specifications and strategizing test campaign for the project
Education & Experience
- BS Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- P. Eng certification or in progress
- At least 10 years of experience working with signaling in areas such as V&V, Design or Application.
- Specific experience with Integrated Control Center (ATS, SCADA, Security), Interlocking, Carborne, PTC, CBTC, Cybersecurity is desired.
