Key responsibilities

 

  • Support the Site projects and parts business under procurement scope in a proactive way from a procurement/sourcing perspective. RFQ process, negotiation, On time delivery and Supplier performance monitoring.
  • Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.
  • Develop strategy to reduce number of suppliers and lead negotiation of pricing and tooling issues including terms, freight, customs & insurances. Put in place Long Term Agreements with key suppliers.
  • Negotiate Price lists with suppliers and work on initiatives to improve time to quote KPI
  • Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
  • Coordinates all activities related to Supplier Selection as per procedure, beginning and ending with QCD.
  • Assures cost price analysis to be applied on all “considerable” Materials to promote cost reduction for the Project. Negotiates with suppliers the lowest possible cost for the commodity based on QCD.
  • Defines the supplier QCD commitments, regularly measures performance with Supply Chain and Quality, and manages the suppliers to improve overall QCD performance.
  • Owns and Manages Supplier Contracts to comply with Company policies and Government regulations.
  • Support technical team to identify parts and its suppliers to fulfil customer requirements.
  • Work with suppliers/Alstom technical team for obsolescence management.
  • Visit suppliers to follow up on specific problems of open orders, quotes and quality issues.

 

 

    Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing. Manufacturing Industry experience preferred.
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
