KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead the Parts delivery activities.
    • Deliver and oversee all parts delivery from the Customer parts requests to sourcing to delivery and invoicing.
    • Oversee Customer service, procurement, business analyst, supply chain, engineering and quality deliverables related to spares parts business, including a strong collaboration with the warehouses.
    • Drive the Parts transformation and leading cross-functional teams (Customer Services, Procurement, invoicing and business analyst) to achieve strategic goals.
    • Manage Customer relationship and satisfaction for the Parts business.
    • Deploy and sustain region and central processes.
    • Manage and improve related performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery) in line with Services strategy, targets and in compliance with Alstom policies, standards (incl. local regulations), such as time to quote, on time delivery to Customer, on time delivery from suppliers (internal and external), win rate, pricing, margin, …
    • Monitor the performance of the activities with associated KPI, reports and governance.
    • Prepare, monitor and track budget or the department.
    • Ensure data accuracy in SAP/GSI.
    • Forecast parts needs to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Ensure a consistent vision and standardized process for all responsible functions in Parts & CRO sites.
  • Lead the team and increase competencies and expertise.
    • Manage resources availability and planning according to workload and forecast work.
    • Lead hiring process considering compliance with local legislation.
    • Perform skills management and ensure resources development (trainings, coaching and shadowing program, qualification, …) to support further development of the team competencies.
    • Perform the PMC (People Management Cycle) with employees as per local HR policy.
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement projects related to parts delivery.
    • Improve Customer satisfaction.
    • Implement optimized inventory management.
    • Increase margin and push price elasticity in line with the growth plan.
    • Implement and maintain APSYS (Alstom Performance System) for respective functions.
    • Deploy quality and problem-solving mindset (Poke Yoke, QRQC, 5 Why, …).
  • Adopt standard Alstom processes and rules for business development and project execution activities.
  • Analyze business results & competitive performance and make recommendations based upon a thorough understanding of Alstom, our customers and market dynamics to meet/exceed our financial targets.
  • Participate on the various projects supporting the Parts & CRO Growth Strategy such as
    • Implement the Alstom Part and Overhaul Operating model (APO-Line).  Optimizing the pricing strategy and leveraging inflation.
    • Develop upstream the business readiness (maximize parts list pricing, obsolescence as a leaver, aftermarket clause in rolling stock contract, upsell warranty aftermarket, boots on the ground program.
    • Offer new customer experience trough virtual solutions and expand the parts catalogue (SAP optimization, virtual parts catalogue)

 

 

Education & experience requirements

 

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited university in Business or Supply Chain
  • At least 15 years’ experience in rail or related business or project industries
  • At least 15 years of strong experience in Customer services, procurement or supply chain
  • Experience in the spare parts business required
  • Proven experience managing a team.  Integrative team working style
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
  • Business Acumen
  • Proactive and efficient responses to pressing issues and challenges
  • Excellent experience in change management and process optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build relationships
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Strong project management, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • SAP Knowledge required
  • Proficient user of MS Office tools
