Could you be the full-time Buyer in Mississauga we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your sourcing and supplier management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our procurement projects and supplier partnerships. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including project management, quality, and engineering), coordinate procurement activities, and drive supplier performance improvements, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing the supplier selection process, but also support commodity strategies and foster strong supplier relationships.
We’ll look to you for:

Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with suppliers

Leading project negotiations and ensuring compliance with quality, cost, delivery, and technical (QCDT) objectives

Monitoring procurement project evolution, including First Article Inspections (FAI), business awards, and product development
-
Ensuring work package sheet commitments are met
-
Coordinating projects across all relevant functions
-
Ensuring on-time delivery and quality, especially during ramp-up phases
-
Promoting Alstom’s Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

10+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement

Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment

Structured and rigorous approach to managing tasks

An international mindset and adaptability to diverse cultural environments

Fluency in French and English (additional languages are an asset)
