This role is an important component to our projects in Australia as the experienced Quality referent for Sourcing commodities and influencing both the sourcing strategy and supplies. 


Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

  • Regular reviews with Procurement team, pull in the audit requirements and supplier development needs and consolidation of audit plan 
  • Develop suppliers to improve the quality level of supplied parts & services and contribute to improve the quality level of suppliers in Alstom panel. 
  • Contribute to Global Quality Performance of the suppliers for Project execution (First Article Inspection (FAI) results, Non-Conformities and Warranty Issues)
  • Perform Return of Experience (REX) analysis, share it with all stakeholders.
  • Support supplier escalations (Yellow & Red) : bring support to Alstom sites and Suppliers to meet exit conditions.
  • Supplier Quality reporting: weekly report, monthly dashboard.


Role requirements: 

  • Degree qualified, with prior experiences in Quality, Manufacturing or Industrial.
  • Supplier Quality/Quality audit experience and Quality tools experience (8D, FMEA).
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes; Weld, Machining, Paint etc. Knowledge of railway products and services desirable. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and summarize and focus on the critical issues
  • Ability to deal quickly and effectively on supplier quality topics with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starter, and team player with effective communication skills


The position holder will manage their time as needed to enable the completion of their duties in accordance with specified procedures and regulations. Complying with the companies Quality, Health & Safety procedures and Maintenance Schedules at all times.


This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane, however there is flexibility for the role to be based in our other QLD locations.
