Your Future Role:
Alstom is seeking a Pre-Tender Manager to join our team based in our Brisbane of North Sydney office. Reporting to the ANZ Commercial Director, you will provide a strategic vision for Alstom’s market positioning in the ANZ region. You will lead pre-tender activities, foster new business opportunities, and drive growth through detailed market analysis, competitor assessments, and proactive engagement with key stakeholders.
As the Pre-Tender Manager, you will:
- Regularly evaluate customer needs, competitive landscapes, and industry trends to guide Alstom’s strategy, ensuring alignment with market dynamics.
- Lead the marketing review process to gather and analyse customer requirements, benchmarking assessments and market data, providing actionable insights.
- Identify regional capability gaps and growth opportunities, working with teams to implement solutions that align with Alstom’s strategic objectives.
- Support pre-tendering activities, drive unsolicited bids, and foster organic growth with existing customers and suppliers, contributing to the development of competitive strategies.
- Support the development of strategic partnerships that strengthen Alstom’s market position, expand its network, and increase market share.
- Oversee forecast management by leading commercial and business reviews, ensuring accurate sales forecasts and tracking performance to meet growth targets.
- Define and implement go-to-market strategies tailored to regional needs and customer expectations, ensuring clear messaging and impactful promotions. This includes collaborating with the Global Platform teams on developing new products for the ANZ market.
- Collaborate with the commercial sales teams to provide strategic guidance and insights, supporting efforts to meet sales targets and drive overall business growth.
All About You:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Market analysis or firsthand project experience in the rail industry along with the ability to develop and implement market strategies that drive business growth.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the organisation and with external partners.
- Critical thinking and an analytical mindset, with the capacity to synthesize clear presentations for senior leadership and sales teams.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, capable of delivering clear, data-driven insights and influencing senior leadership and sales teams.
- Proven organisational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering strategic outcomes.
- You are visionary, thrive from interpreting market trends yet with a good eye for detail.
- Willingness to travel within the ANZ region as required to support business development activities.
