The role of the Industrial Engineer is to organize preventive and corrective maintenance activities in depots and/or workshops dedicated to the maintenance of rolling stock.
The candidate will report hierarchically to the Industrial Manager and will collaborate with the Depot Managers and the local operational team, providing systematic assistance to depots under his responsibility located throughout the country.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the requirements described in the maintenance plan.
- Draft and validate process documentation (Standard Operation Sheet).
- Identify necessary tools and materials, from the definition of technical specifications to field validation.
- Organize the layout (facilities, workstations, flow of materials/people, number of operators, civil works).
- Validate, with the project team, the optimal strategy to implement to maximize the saturation of production resources.
- Organize all maintenance activities in line with Alstom standard requirements (sequence of activities, cycle time, delivery times, packaging, workstation ergonomics, skills, EHS constraints and Quality requirements).
- Document management on SAP (task list, materials list, tools list).
- Manage suppliers for the creation of the main equipment.
- Analyze and identify actions aimed at improving project performance.
- Develop business cases to evaluate investment plans and implement Make or Buy strategies.
- Organize all maintenance activities in line with Alstom standard requirements (sequence of activities, cycle time, delivery times, packaging, workstation ergonomics, skills, EHS constraints and Quality requirements).
Requirements:

Master’s degree in engineering

At Least 2 to 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization

Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings

Technical experience of Methods Engineering, writing, and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing

Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up

Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems

Proven ability to innovate and manage change

Excellent teamwork skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels

Strong organizational and planning capabilities

Desire to learn and grow completing the profile

Fluent in English and Italian
The position will be based in Milan and will be the industrialization reference point for Regional & Loco Maintenance Operations Projects in center of Italy.
Availability to travel, mainly within the national territory, for at least 50% of the time is mandatory.
