Work Package Controller

Location: Mexico City

What are my responsibilities?

In charge of Cost controlling and reports Work packages related cost. Provide clear and transparent data on cost to date and at completion and ensure the necessary conditions for achievement of the WP’s financial targets.

The Work Package Controller will diligently and professionally manage the financial accounts of the Project (on and/or off shore scope) in execution and until FAC or formalised handover and supporting the Project Manager (and other project functions) as the finance partner. The jobholder will also ensure effective reporting and controlling of the project under the own responsibility i.e. to ensure adequate controls and processes are in place to meet all of the Company’s requirements and that the accounting for the project is in accordance with the Company’s guidelines and instructions.

• Cash Flow, Cost and Revenue Margin Management
• Reporting and Coordination
• Financial Administration
• Management

What do I need to qualify for this job?

In this role, you are expected to build effective working relationships across a diverse project team, with the ultimate goal of establishing a frank and transparent dialogue with your peers. You have deep accounting expertise and project management skills.

Minimum qualifications

• Proven academic background with a Degree qualified either in finance or business management with financial qualification or may have engineering degree (with financial training).
• 3 years of experience in long term contracting and accounting as Work Package Controller.
• English

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with SAP.
• Expert knowledge in Excel.

Competencies & Skills

Ability to interpret business related data

Well-developed communication skills and the ability to convince with presentations

Affinity to finance and numbers and good knowledge in MS Excel

Good analytical as well as problem-solving skills
