Within our team in Mexico, you will participate to the development of our Global Procurement Shared Service hub for AMERICAS, serving all our businesses in US and CANADA. Could you be the VIE Indirect buyer in Mexico we’re looking for?
Your future role
Procurement operations:
- Validates purchase requisitions completeness in coordination with Project teams
- Conducts Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP)
- Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool
- Vendor selection / Evaluation / negotiation of contract (within threshold value) / Business case preparation and follow DOA approval flow
- Vendor onboarding until panel validation
- Creates and manages Purchase orders and Amendments
Supplier relationship:
- Supports preparation of supplier(s) negotiations
- Creates monthly reports and ad'hoc reports on Supplier performance and Procurement KPI’s
- Promotes the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Processes / Tools / Knowledge Management
- Applies standard Procurement processes and tools
- Contributes to the enrichment of best practices with peers and Procurement organization
- Identifies problems and suggest solutions
Developing oneself and get exposure :
- Deep understanding of business practices in Procurement
- Generates innovative ideas for increased process efficiency & reduction in cost
- Deep understanding of processes and tools
- Exposure to the Procurement organization (internally) and externally (suppliers)
Performance measurements:
- Savings P&L and Cost to Complete
- Non-Conformities Event and On Time Delivery
- Panel situation Supplier compliancy status rate
- Process efficiency KPIs

- Degree level qualification buyer
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage)
- Fluency in French and English
