Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive public affairs expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, resourceful, and collaborative teammates. You'll shape the future of sustainable transportation by developing and executing strategic public affairs initiatives that advance Alstom's business objectives in Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including government officials, trade associations, and non-profits), build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

Support development and execution of Alstom’s public affairs strategy in Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic,

Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal government officials, trade associations & coalitions, and non-profits and think tanks,
-
Identify and generate opportunities to advance Alstom brand and engage with customers at policy, industry, and community forums,
-
Support the company's communications plan, including press releases, speeches, and other written and verbal communications,
-
Develop and prioritize key stakeholder maps for key Alstom business opportunities,
-
Work effectively with Alstom’s business development and sales organization to provide real-time, value-add support including real-time political, policy, and market intelligence, and political threat and opportunity assessments,

Develop and help execute targeted and effective advocacy strategies,

Represent Alstom’s policy positions in meetings with government officials, trade associations, coalitions, and other stakeholder groups,

Analyze and communicate to Alstom business leaders the implications of public policy issues affecting Alstom’s business interests,

Write clear, cogent, and concise reports for Alstom business executives covering stakeholder meetings

Degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Affairs, or Communications,

Experience or understanding of government and corporate public affairs, preferably in the transportation or manufacturing industry,

Knowledge of strategic public affairs initiatives and stakeholder engagement,

Familiarity with policy analysis and political issues impacting the transportation sector,
-
Excellent writing and speaking skills,
-
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders,
-
Capacity to develop and execute advocacy strategies,
-
Resilience and adaptability in high-pressure situations,
-
Strong analytical skills to identify threats and opportunities,
-
Leadership qualities to work effectively within a team environment.
Working Conditions
Mobile position - must be able to travel to meet with internal customers and external stakeholders as necessary.
