We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Signalling Team. In this role, you will take responsibility for leading the delivery of exciting projects within the portfolio of our Signalling business. This will include you handling budget, program, safety and quality performance, taking responsibility for key commercial decisions, and leading a dedicated project team to deliver successful projects.

 

Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

 

  • Deliver projects in accordance with the contract, including the Project Requirements, Schedule, Budget and Plans
  • Define, review & adjust strategies of the project as required to meet deadlines and contractual commitments
  • Develop and maintain a sound working relationship with the customer
  • Lead the project team and manage staff morale and effectiveness to ensure an engaged team that are appropriately coached and mentored
  • Ensure all costs and finances relating to the project are captured through regular reviews
  • Lead risk, saving and opportunity management.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for this Role Includes:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
  • Significant experience as a Project Manager within a Rail environment
  • Prior experience leading complex, multi-discipline projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
  • Significant prior knowledge of limitations surrounding working within the rail corridor
  • Proven understanding with regard to project governance, risk and planning.
