Reporting to the T&C Manager, we are currently recruiting for Wayside Test Engineer – CBTC  for High Capacity Signalling (HCS) to join our growing team at ALSTOM in Australia.

 

This is a great opportunity for a T&C Engineer where they will be working on the Melbourne Airport Rail project. It is a transformational public transport project connecting Melbourne Airport to Victoria’s regional and metropolitan train network for the first time. The role will be based in Melbourne on a Permanent, full time basis.

 

In this role you will:

  • Clear understanding of the Customer Needs and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Support T&C Manager on the development and management of test procedures, method statements and tools.
  • Ensure that test procedures and tools configuration are managed during the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and execute on-site testing including interface testing in accordance to approved method statements and test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and provide preliminary investigation report on faults identified on-site.
  • Produce accurate Test reports after on-site testing.
  • Maintain a close coordination with the different internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Installation, V&V and metiers experts to secure the delivery of the Signalling System under commissioning.
  • Ensure T&C procedures comply with EHS Policy and Site EHS Management System.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in Signalling Testing and Commissioning (HCS system delivery or equivalent).
  • Understand the principals of signalling and railway industry standards.  Knowledge in signalling network connections will be an advantage.
  • Able to translate site specific skills and knowledge to T&C documentation production.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and software testing.
