Your future role:

 

Alstom is seeking a HR Operations Time & Attendance Lead for a permanent position based at our Dandenong, VIC site. Reporting into the HR Operations APAC Hub Director, you will take full end-to-end ownership of Time and Attendance administration across Australia and New Zealand. In this key role, you will drive operational excellence, ensure full compliance with local labour laws and enterprise agreements, maintain data accuracy and integrity, and continuously improve processes and systems. You will act as the regional subject matter for Time & Attendance, leading configuration, system enhancements, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management to support a high-performing workforce in a dynamic rail and mobility environment.


You will:

 

  • Oversee end-to-end daily operations of the Workforce Manager Time System (ADP), including configuration, timecard approvals, absence management, and cut-off adherence
  • Lead system implementations and enhancements, managing User Acceptance Testing, data migration, rule setup, documentation, and change communications
  • Manage operational vendor relationships, ensuring contractual compliance, PR/PO processing, invoice handling, and performance monitoring
  • Deliver training, technical support, and troubleshooting to employees, managers, and system users across Australia and New Zealand
  • Resolve system exceptions, approval workflow issues, and user queries efficiently to maintain operational continuity
  • Ensure full compliance with ANZ labour regulations, enterprise bargaining agreements, company policies, and financial controls through proactive monitoring and updates
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain accurate reporting, dashboards, KPI tracking, and data integrity across all T&A outputs
  • Drive continuous process improvement, simplification, and automation initiatives while conducting regular audits and supporting internal/external audits


About you:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Bring extensive experience managing end-to-end Time and Attendance activities across Australia and New Zealand
  • Demonstrate deep expertise using Workforce Manager (ADP) – Kronos or UKG experience also highly regarded
  • Possess strong working knowledge of ANZ enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs), labour laws, payroll processes, and compliance regulations
  • Have proven success leading T&A projects, system implementations, upgrades, and regional process improvements
  • Show solid exposure to HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors desirable) and advanced data management/reporting practices
  • Highly effective in stakeholder engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and leading teams or initiatives in a multi-site environment
  • Thrive in a detail-oriented, fast-paced role requiring analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and a focus on compliance and accuracy
