Working Student – Smart Solution in Offer Preparation for Locomotives (f/d/m)

YOUR TASKS:

You will join Alstom in Mannheim, Germany, and work in a close relationship with the Bid and Project Manager for locomotives, as well as the full tender team including Sub-System bid managers to:

• Provide support required by the team by bringing fresh ideas to simplify our repetitive work in MS Tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint or on SharePoint with a little automation or some tricks to reduce our efforts.
• Learn to monitor existing automation process flows in SharePoint or Outlook.
• Learn to use and apply VBA in Excel to help to quickly create summarizing data tables
• Assist in preparing documents or presentations to support the Bid Manager in creating offer mandates.
• After a certain period: you may take on more tasks, for example take care to update our work folder structure in line with the Alstom guidelines

PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics or a related field.
• Your work style is structured, independent, and solution-oriented. You can handle constructive feedback and provide it as well.
• You enjoy working with an inter-cultural team and find it easy to communicate with people both locally and digitally in other countries.
• You complete your tasks conscientiously, seek solutions collaboratively with colleagues, and reliably deliver your assignments.
• Good proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Basic knowledge to MS Power Automate & Power App & MS Script (VBA)
• Fluent in English, German language is a plus
