The Train Validation Metier in Mannheim is responsible for four main areas: (1) the vehicle level tests on the vehicles in the field and the laboratories, (2) including complete test planning & management, (3) all validation activities on the vehicle level and gather the validation activities of all subsystems of the vehicle and (4) the maintanance of the laboratories and design and assembly of the contained test benches.
As VIE_Train Validation Engineer (Junior) you will have an insight in the whole metier work with the possibility to concentrate on one or more areas of the metier. Due to the overaching You will have the possibility to develop into the role of an Test Engineer, Train Manager, Train Validation Engineer or Train Lab Engineer.
The VIE_Train Validation Engineer (Junior)
- can be responsible to support the test planning and scheduling in a project
- can be responsible to support the test execution in the laboratory or on the vehicle in the field
- can be responsible to support the lab maintanance and assembly of test benches
- can be responsible to support the validation activities in a project
- can be responsible to create or report the project status and the supporting KPIs
- can be responsible to lead task-forces or work streams for unplanned activities crossfunctional and within Engineering
- can be responsible to manage ENG bid activities in alignement with the Product Platform or the Project Team
- can be responsible to drive and prepare techical oppurtunities within running projects up to variation orders from our customers
- can be responsible to drive innovation activities within the project and align them with the specific product needs (and work streams of other product platforms)

- Ability to support analysis, problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environment
- Ability to work across sites in a multi-cultural environment
- interest on new development (Innovation) and standartization (Platform)
