Have you ever wanted to build a locomotive? Then join us our System Engineering Metier as V.I.E Support for Train Performance Manager (TPM) in Mannheim
As a VIE, you are responsible for supporting the TPM in fulfilling its tasks to achieve that the train performance meets customer, operational and regulatory requirements in accordance with product safety, the project objectives for quality, cost and duration and cybersecurity.
Support for the TPM in the following Tasks:
- Support the vehicle and subsystem design to ensure defined targets
- Ensure conversion of customer and regulatory requirements into train level requirements & into technical product specifications complying with Alstom standards and manageable to control costs and time to market
- Derive requirements & specifications at Subsystem level and ensure consistency and compatibility between all Sub-System specifications
- Define the Project Verification and Validation strategy on train level, to ensure proper coverage and demonstration that customer and design requirements are met. Collect the contributions of all involved stakeholders:
- Manage inputs from our issue lock RTC and change management system CCT (IBM Jazz)
- Manage the preperation of the requirements with Requirements Management System DOORS (IBM)
- Contribute to the certification and authorisation with the support on technical topics:
- Evidence planning wrt TSI’s/NNTR’s and Norms/Standards
- Preparation of evidence documents, so called Evidence Portability Concepts
- Preparation of impact analyses on vehicle and train level with respect to different System Architecture Areas with support from responsible Experts and in a strong communication with responsible Certification and Authorization Manager
- Functional reporting to the Chief of Development (CoD) within the Rolling Stock Engineering Organisation
- Main technical contact for communication towards to the customer wrt train performance and overall technical topics
Qualifications:
- Relevant academic background, Master of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Railway System)
- Knowledge of relevant norms and standards would be a benefit
- System thinking capability
- Good System Engineering related experience
- Model based development would be beneficial
- Fluent English is mandatory, German would be beneficial.
- DOORS know how would beneficial
- Curious for the product locomotive and its development
- Good communication, collaborative and intercultural skills
- Good Entrepreneurship (Proactive, autonomous and positive)
- Agile. Excited to experience and adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
