Purpose of the Job

 

As a Schematics & Apparatus Engineer / Technician you will design train electrical architecture. You will specify electrical apparatus to be used on project based on preferred parts list and project requirements. You create circuit diagrams with wiring information and managing the configuration of this deliverable

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Contribute by the development of the functional schematic and consider the boundary conditions of the product
  • create circuit diagrams with wiring information
  • Responsible for the apparatus specification
  • Responsible for selection and dimensioning of all cabling, connectors and terminals
  • Responsible for the definition of harnesses
  • Support Manufacturing (internal and at suppliers)
  • Ensure Return of Experience and support continuous improvement
  • Managing the S&A QCD of his/her activities, sub-contracting management (inputs / outputs management)
  • Interfaces with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and external suppliers as needed
  • Interprets customer specifications to ensure that the design is compliant
  • Definition of work packages for external engineering support
  • Supervision and quality control of external/internal engineering support

 

Your profile :

 

  • Graduate from an Engineering School
  • Electrical and/or electrotechnical engineering knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of rail technology may be an advantage
  • Basic Electrical CAD experience idealy in Zuken E3 series or equivalent tool
  • Basic skills in Visual Basic and/or C++ or another comparable language
  • English and / or German
