Could you be the VIE - Project Quality Engineer (m/f) for Rolling Stock & Components (RSC) in Mannheim, we are looking for ?
Take on a new challenge within the Quality Department and collaborate with a dynamic, results-driven team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure project and engineering quality throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Your future role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving the Development for Quality (DFQ) process and ensuring project/design maturity for Go/No-Go decisions.
- Supporting the organization with training and making acceptance criteria transparent.
- Facilitating Design Reviews, independently assessing design maturity, documenting findings (Minutes of Meeting, Design Review Checklist), and reporting results.
- Acting as the prefered interface for all project quality-related topics.
- Guiding the engineering community on Design Review criteria to ensure proper gate preparation.
- Organizing quality awareness initiatives and delivering or supporting training as needed.
- Promoting preventive quality measures in engineering (e.g., critical item assessments) and addressing quality issues through root-cause analysis (e.g., 8D problem-solving).

- Master or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equal education
- Experience with quality and problem solving tools
- Knowledge about requirements management and configuration management
- Awareness of project processes and products
- Knowledge on Standards (IRIS, ISO 9001)
- Technical analysis skills, particularly in CONQ
- Fluent in German and or English
