Could you be the full-time Train Cost Manager (f/m/d) in Mannheim we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
In Mannheim, over 1000 colleagues from 36 different countries work together to develop locomotives, as well as signal and propulsion technology for vehicles that are deployed both regionally and worldwide. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to David LANDGREBE and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to :
- Coordinate the whole Development to Cost studies and related métiers to meet the agreed objectives.
- Ensure the transformation of new and listed opportunities translate into validated cost reduction versus baseline.
- Be the “voice” of Development to Cost in the tender or project team.
- Ensure, organize and lead regular steering committees for progress in quality, time and cost.
- Support the Product Platforms to keep track of the status, spent and forecast budget.
- Support the development teams to achieve the cost objectives.
- Ensure alignment with the product definition and put in place close communication between all Stakeholders.
- Update regularly the Tender, Project Teams and related Management of costs and stakes.
- Design and execute action plans to ensure the transformation of identified potential into validated savings.
- Ensure that obsolescence cases are transformed into validated cost reduction and on time delivery.
All About You

- You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with electro-mechanical or industrial engineering background.
- You have min. 2 years’ relevant cost analysis, planning and project experience.
- You have min. 2 years’ experience in analyzing and solving obsolescence cases2
- You have good industrial and design process knowledge.
- You are a hands-on organizing person.
- You are an excellent communicator.
- You represent excellent customer focus.
- You are proactive and can respond to pressing issues and challenges with agility.
- Proficient in English and German languages.
