Could you be the full-time Sub-System Manager (Control and Information System) (f/m/d) in Mannheim, Germany, we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
In Mannheim, over 1000 colleagues from 36 different countries work together to develop locomotives, as well as signal and propulsion technology for vehicles that are deployed both regionally and worldwide. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to RALF HECKMANN, Head of RSC TRAXX Train Control PM and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:

Lead and coordinate sub-system activities and stakeholders from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations limited to the sub-system scope of work

Manage cross-functionally sub-system level stakeholders, activities, and deliverables and making needed arbitration (engineering, product x process, Make or Buy, Costs, Milestones, Interfaces, etc.) to reach QCDP (Quality Cost Delivery Planning) commitment

Coordinate and synchronize sub-system activities with other sub-Systems and project teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality

Utilize technical project management experience to cover relevant phases in the V model lifecycle

Uphold awareness of processes for project and product development, including knowledge of railway or other safety regulated industry norms and certifications

Apply functional and system/software engineering knowledge to optimize project outcomes

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Knowledge of functional and system/software engineering

At least 2 years of experience in technical project management within the V-model lifecycle

Knowledge of project and product development processes, particularly in safety-regulated industries

Effective communicator with a knack for holding people accountable

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player with a focus on customer satisfaction
