The Design Quality Professional chairs Engineering Design Gates and concludes on the design maturity status (Go / NoGo decision in design gates) to support the engineering organization in providing confirmation whether requirements of the products being developed have been fulfilled. He/she also supports the engineering organisation with trainings about the Design Gates and Quality Toolbox as well as providing support/coaching in making the Design Gate acceptance criteria transparent.



•    Lead Engineering Design Gates (building block and Product Level), conclude independent on the status of the required design maturity, document design gate findings and conclusion (MoM, Design Gate checklist) and report Design Gates results (KPI), support planning of design gates (scope and scheduling)
•    Support/coach the Engineering community to understand the criteria for Design Gates to ensure a proper gate preparation
•    Provide Trainings about Engineering Design Gates and Engineering Quality Toolbox (e.g. CIA, FMEA)
•    Support the preventive quality activities in Engineering (e.g. CIA and FMEA) as well as the detection of quality issues and performance of root-cause analysis (e.g. 8D)

•    Bachelor of Engineering or equal education
•    2 – 3 years in an Engineering and/or Quality role
•    Knowledge of BT Engineering process landscape, core PM processes and Gates reviews
•    Knowledge about requirements management and configuration management
•    Ability to apply quality methods like FMEA (Systems, Design, Process) and Problem Solving Workshops (PPS, 8D)
•    Ability to assess processes maturity
•    Knowledge on Standards (IRIS, ISO 9001, CENELEC, …)
•    Engineering value chain experience
