As a Program Development Quality & Safety Manager (m/f/d) (HWQM) you accompany the hardware/ software Development from requirements definition to commercial operation at D&IS (Digital Integrated Systems). In your role as PQSM, you are the contact person for the project quality engineers at the customer level and work hand in hand with the development team. You develop the quality criteria for HW/SW development projects in accordance with customer requirements and relevant standards. You are responsible for quality planning in the development project, coordination with the development teams involved, monitoring implementation with indicators, reviews and audits, and deliver the quality management report which is included in the assessment as part of the safety case.The position offers good development potential in the quality organization and good development opportunities within ALSTOM.
Main tasks
- Development and allocation of quality requirements in the HW/SW development project
- Implementation of quality planning and supervision of hardware QA
- Implementation of holding and control points (reviews, KPIs, audits)
- Support in writing the quality management report as input to the safety report
- Support in the qualitative assessment of critical components in the project
- Guidance of the engineering team on quality issues
- Conducting quality related trainings (e.g., 8D / Ishikawa / ...)
- Conduct internal process audits
- Support with external audits
- Coordination of supplier quality tasks
- Support in the preparation and implementation of internal and external gate reviews (DFQ process)
- Support of 8D cases and drive the solution process (Kx management)
- Support of safety cases and drive the solution process (K1s Management)
- Support with initial sample tests
- Ensure and manage the REX process (risks and opportunities)
Requirements and skills
- University degree (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar) or education of technicians with several years of professional experience
- Experience in using quality tools
- Solid knowledge of rules and standards in the field of electrical installations in Germany
- Knowledge of the relevant specifications for interlocking systems in Germany is an advantage
- High commitment and resilience as well as independent working methods
- Good team and communication skills
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and similar standard applications
- Native German spoken and written
- Good spoken and written English skills
