Light Railway Vehicle Train Control Engineer in Mannheim, Germany.


As a Light Railway Vehicle Train Control Engineer your mission is to support our projects and manage on the project sub-scope of train control. You will ensure that the specified software quality requirements are achieved within all our projects and they are validated, tested and are in line with all required procedures and processes. 


Key accountabilities:
•    Validating the TC&IS Development, Configuration, Validation and Management Plan application.
•    Functional management of the Train Control & IS resources of his/her project
•    Managing the design planning and the achievement of the Design/Verification reviews in all step of the Design For Quality cycle
•    Monitoring, control and consolidate the TC & IS work package (Work Package Review, Risk mitigation, Quality Cost Delay project target) and ensure the reporting activities to the Project Engineering Manager of the project
•    Delivering all TC & IS Engineering outputs including, TCMS, software specification or Functional Design Description, Electrical Schemes and Electrical Products definition (with the support of Electrical Lead Engineer), in compliance with the Engineering Quality Cost Delay commitments.
•    Managing interface and ensure follow up of sub-systems (electrical components, PIS, CCTV, Multimedia, TCMS, Event recorder, Train Ground Communication, ATC/Safety equipment)
•    Defining the applicable TCMS configuration (low voltage scheme, apparatus, and software version) with the Train System Engineer, Train Design Engineer, Project Engineering Manager and its team.


Key Requirements:
•    You have functional engineer experience in embedded systems preferred in the area of rolling stock
•    You have experience of leading development teams
•    You have hands-on electrical and schematic design experience
•    You are proficient in Control Build, Matlab / Simulink, Matrix, DOORS or in similar tools.
•    You have good knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB and other industrial communication networks
•    You are proficient in English language
