Purpuse of the job

 

The role includes Finance Business partnering to Site MDs, Segment Leads and Metier Leads of the Product Line Digitalization & Infrastructure (D&IS) on workload & capacity of all sites in DACH. Main objective is to ensure, that the D&IS resources are cost efficiently utilized across DACH and financial implications of workload-capacity-gaps are being made transparent. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Continuously assessing, monitoring and communicating workload and capacity of the sites and metiers, proposing action plans to mitigate gaps and identified risks, to improve efficiency and productivity and to optimize hourly rates.
  • Jointly preparing workload vs capacity reviews on-time together with Operations, ensuring the correct reporting of the financial situation of the sites & metiers according to ALSTOM accounting & reporting rules 
  • Providing transparency on the financial site and metier data with regard to workload, capacity, productivity and hourly rates in required quality, ensuring consistency with site, metier and projects teams (Planning, Sourcing, etc.), giving awareness to site and metier leads and senior management
  • Following up on actual workload, capacity, utilization, productivity and hourly rates versus budget and forecast, and continuously provide latest financial outlook and early warnings. In case of deviations, support and follow up on recovery plans.
  • Prepare make or buy decisions and drive improvement of BCC-ratio (utilization of resources in best cost countries)
  • Closely monitor sizing of indirect resources and support optimization of their utilization across DACH region based on financial analyses
  • Preparing of site and metier budgets & forecasts
  • Support month, quarter and year end closing activities
  • Preparing ad hoc analyses
  • Validating purchase order requests on work packages (internal & external)
  • Being interface on Internal & External Controls for the sites and metiers related to workload, capacity and hourly rates

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor/Master of Economics/Finance
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Financial Controlling
  • Industrial Controlling experience would be a strong plus
  • Proven experience with SAP FI/CO
  • Primavera would be a strong plus
  • SAP BW and Qlik would be a plus
  • English business fluent is mandatory for this role
  • German knowledge would be a strong plus
