                                         Configuration and change Manager (m/f/d) for our location in Mannheim, Germany 

 

We are currently looking to recruit a Configuration and change manager for our team located in Mannheim, Germany.


As a Configuration and change manager you will support the process spanning for the entire life cycle of one or many products and projects. The purpose of the role is to ensure completeness and correctness of the project configuration, requirements and change documentation. Ensure Configuration is formalized and adequate at any time to deliver the configuration and change documentation to the stakeholders (customer, supplier, partners or project).

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identification, definition, and baselining of configuration items: 
-    Managing release numbering
-    Managing product and project documentation areas
-    Setting up product and project source control repositories
-    Setting up product and project requirements management areas
-    Setting up Jenkins continuous integration/delivery environments
-    Baselining source, requirements, and documentation as integrated sets
-    Facilitating the linking of requirements to design/code
-    Maintaining configuration items lists
• Control of modifications
-    Participate in Change Control Board
• Control of releases
-    Draft Product Version Information documents
-    Facilitate workflow progression of release artifacts
-    Create releases in Hydra product lifecycle management system
-    Deploy documentation
• Recording and reporting on status of configuration items
•  Apply the rules defined in the Configuration and Change Management Plan
• Methodology and improvements including automation of processes where possible (together with DevOps)
-    Continuously improve way of working
-    Participate in standardization and harmonization activities

 

Key requirements/Qualifications:

• BSc Degree in Engineering or MA/PhD or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role 
• Good understanding of engineering processes and tools
• Previous working experience in Configuration and Change Management.
• Basic understanding of project engineering practices, including requirements, design, implementation and verification, code reviews and static analysis, testing (unit, sub-system)
• Basic understanding of agile methodologies.
• Experience on configuration and change management
• Knowledge of  SW-Version-Control like Git, Gerrit or IBMSynergy, Jenkins, Hydra or any PLM-System, IBM Rational tools like Synergy and RTC, DOORS is a plus
• Specialized or cross-functional knowledge 
• Desired competences: Communication, Driven for results, customer oriented, team player, influencing others, people accountable. 
• Fluent in German and English
