Automatic Train Control Application Engineer Requirements Management (m/f/d) for our location in Mannheim, Germany

 

We are currently looking to recruit an ATC Application Engineer Requirements Management for our team located in Mannheim, Germany.

 

As an Automatic Train Control Application Engineer Requirements Management you are going to evaluate and analyse and evaluate the customer specifications and the national requirements. As part of the Application Design Engineering Team, you are going to work closely with the customer projects of Region DACH and the Systems Engineering team of the product development. The focus of this job will be mainly on the Requirements Management and connected processes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyse and evaluate project specific requirements (customer and country specific).
  • Support the customer projects in the planning and execution phase and with the management of the applicable requirements.
  • Manage requirements and the real needs of stakeholders (internal/external customers, authorities, internal HW/SW designer, Testers, validators, the technical project core team) and ensure a successful implementation of the Alstom Requirements Management Process in the project environment.
  • Elicit, analyse, validate, specify, verify and manage the requirements with a focus on customer projects.
  • Defining system requirements, system context and interfaces.
  • Identifying customer needs through close collaboration with the internal/external customers
  • Support for implementers, integrators, testers, validators (explain requirements, assess non-conformities) and homologation.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant academic background, e.g. Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics.
  • Typically, 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant experience with SW Engineering and especially advanced knowledge of Requirement Management and Requirements Management Tools is a must
  • Experience in a role as DOORS Key User is a must and relevant experience with dxl scripts is highly appreciated
  • Experience of ERTMS or other safety-critical systems will be highly valued.
  • Experience with the application of international standards, norms and processes on a SIL-4 system is appreciated
  • Able to switch easily between different system levels
  • Structured way of thinking and working, able to think with the superordinated common target in the back of the mind
  • Well-organized, service oriented, sociable and with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent in English and German
