Could you be the full-time Temporary Operation Manager (Train Operations Manager) in Mabalacat Pampanga & Ortigas Centre (Manila), Philippines we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in temporary operations to a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, dynamic, and safety-focused team.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient working environment during the testing phase of project execution. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with internal teams such as System Tests Managers, Subsystem Tests Managers, and Train Managers, as well as external partners including consortium partners and power supply providers. You’ll oversee access management to restricted areas, configure power supply, and manage traffic within these areas, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of defining temporary operation rules and procedures, as well as recruiting, training, and managing the Temporary Operation team, but also ensure the protection measures and operating restrictions are strictly followed.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Defining rules and procedures to ensure safe operations during testing activities
  • Recruiting, training, and managing the Temporary Operation team
  • Managing access permits for works along tracks, depots, stations, and substations
  • Operating traction power supply locally and remotely
  • Ensuring all safety and operational restrictions are followed
  • Producing and updating relevant documents and drawings for Temporary Operations
  • Coordinating activities across multiple entities to ensure smooth operations
  • Assessing risks on-site and implementing complementary rules when needed
  • Registering and analyzing incidents to identify root causes
  • Organizing data collection and producing regular operational statistics

  • Graduated from an engineering school (mandatory)
  • Min 15+ years of experience overall.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Train operations with a senior expert level in mainline & Depot.
  • Experience in management, including budget, planning, and resources.
  • Broad knowledge of railway projects.
  • Experience in Environment, Health & Safety on construction sites.
  • Multicultural project experience.
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and decision-making skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication abilities.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to propose alternative solutions.
  • Professional-level English proficiency.
  • Mobility, resilience, and stress resistance.
