Job Title: Power Supply Installation Engineer
Work Location - Mabalacat, Pampanga (Site office) & Ortigas Centre, Pasig City, Philippines.
Job Summary:
The Power Supply Installation Engineer is responsible for the planning, installation, post installation checks/tests of power supply systems for NSCR-Ex project. This includes working with HV, MV, LV-AC and DC traction system of substations and other associated electrical infrastructure. The engineer ensures compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate installation activities of traction power supply systems, including substations, feeders, transformers, switchgear, and related infrastructure.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, installation plans, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, signaling, and mechanical teams to ensure proper integration of systems.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, EN, IEEE), health and safety regulations, and project-specific requirements (ERT/ERG).
- Manage subcontractors and vendors for equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning.
- Materials Monitoring: Ensure all materials withdrawn from warehouse are accounted for, audit and reconcile withdrawn vs. installed vs. returned.
- Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system integration testing. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation and commissioning phases. Prepare and maintain project documentation including installation records, test reports, and progress updates. Support engineering team in design modifications and value engineering efforts where needed. Attend project coordination meetings and interface with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in railway electrification, traction power supply systems, HV/MV electrical installations.
- Familiarity with power supply components such as rectifiers, circuit breakers, SCADA systems, transformers, and switchgears. Hands-on experience with traction substations is preferred.
- Knowledge of international standards (IEC, EN50122, EN50163, IEEE, etc.).
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, earthing, and bonding in rail environments.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferably:
- With PRC license as electrical practitioner.
- Previous experience in metro rail projects.
- Familiarity with SCADA and remote monitoring systems for traction power.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role with frequent site visits.
- May require work during nights or weekends depending on project needs.
- Assignment to various project locations may be required.
