Purpose of the Job

The mission of the Configuration and Requirement Manager is to keep the product configuration under

control during the whole life-cycle of the Project.

Responsibilities

· Ensure conformity of the delivered product with the designed/certified product and trace the gaps.

· Ensure conformity of the product delivery to the Customer with contract requirements and trace the gaps.

· Supports the Project with the Customer for any configuration or change issues and to deliver the configuration and change documentation to the Customer.  

· Ensure application of configuration and change general procedures and instructions;

· Issue configuration and change management plan, with PrOM and PrEM in order to implement the configuration and change management process on the Project).

· Plan and organize the CCB (change control board).

o Collect the Change Requests (CR).

o Verify that the change is correctly fulfilled.

o Send the CR to the PrEM for analysis and CP (change proposal) preparation.

o Collect the Change Proposals and send it in advance to the participants of the CCB to check the impacts.

o Establish the CCB reports.

· Coordinate and federate all the Project actors regarding configuration and changes Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Supply chain, SLI, C&W, Validation. The CCM organizes and manages the product evolutions through changes activities:

o Ensuring that the changes are well documented, including QCD impact analysis to allow the CCB (change control board) decisions.

o Taking into account Project priorities or urgencies.

o Ensuring rigorous traceability and reporting.

· Define, from actors information, the projected rank of change application (serial application, retrofit).

· Organize and update configuration and change database for the project.

o Issue and follow up the action plan, assigning the Change Orders to the doers.

o Issue and follow up the change application, assigning the CN to the doers.

· Define with PrEM project baselines:

o Configuration items identification; baselines management (coherency checking).

· Control configuration (compare realised/applicable).

o Perform Configuration verification

· Issue configuration & change KPIs.
