Could you be the full-time System Engineer in Madrid we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your signalling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive and cooperative teammates.
You'll analyze the input needs (external or internal) and requirements, and design the solution by re-using existing solutions (contracts context) or by developing a new solution or adapting an existing one. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project management), formalize and maintain the system specifications (operational, functional, and constructional), application rules, and supporting processes descriptions and their associated verification, validation and assessments and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of ensuring proper integration of subsystems and external stakeholders, in order to provide fluidity in the implementation of the delivered System (project technical solution).
We’ll look to you for:
- Contribute to the project deployment strategy, defining the baselining of the Project at system level and applying process, methods and tools as referenced by the project plans
- Lead system design activities:
- Identify, analyze, clarify and allocate customer requirements, and define their implementation strategy. Ensure that the system technically fulfils the defined needs and enhancements and that a proper system engineering approach is being followed.
- Put work deliverables under configuration management. Manage properly changes and associated impacts.
- Coordinate with subsystem technical leaders, RAM, Safety, and V&V project teams,
- Participate to technical reviews, including consultation to end-users, experts, and customers.
- Specify system deliverables:
- Produce the Customer Requirements Specification.
- Define the System Architecture for different scopes and technical solutions.
- Release Interfaces Management Matrix and System Interfaces Definition.
- Define Functional Specification and Operation Context Description.
- Contribute to the definition and maintenance of the System Baselines, analyze and implement Change Requests.

- Engineer profile is a must.
- 2-5 years experienced previous in similar position
- Previous experience working on cross-functional teams
- Previous rail industry experience is desirable, particularly in signalling projects execution.
- Knowledge on Engineering tasks to be performed
- System Engineering knowledge
- High English level is a must
- Fluent in French is desirable
