Could you be the full-time Railway Safety Engineer in Madrid we’re looking for?

 

Your future role:

Take on a new challenge and apply your Railway Safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside outstanding teammates.

You'll perform safety assessments, analysis and producing related deliverables in accordance with project QCD objectives, applicable standards and regulations and Alstom engineering/safety processes & instructions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business: Engineering, Project Management and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of technical and C&A documentation production.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Support the definition and application of the Project Railway Safety Management Plan.
  • Owns and applies the project safety management process and act as the project safety representative.
  • Perform the first railway safety risk assessment and containment actions definition for project maintenance activities, based on available information and sources: Design authority and OEM documentation, REX from previous maintenance and REX from equivalent maintenance activities.
  • Prepare those safety inputs permitting to build the technical and maintenance dossier to be presented to Certification and Safety Authorities in order to start maintenance activities
  • Perform the safety risks evaluation against safety issues and technical modifications applied in the fleet and support the definition of containment and definitive actions.
  • Prepare the required deliverables and justifications to Safety Authorities and customer/Independent parties (AsBo-ISA, NoBo, DeBo, etc.) to get its approval on the Safety deliverables within the limits of Alstom commitments.
  • Support Project Railway Safety Training, competencies management initiatives and Safety Culture enhancement
  • Whether required in the scope of engineering activities, perform RAM analysis and deliverables preparation.

 

All about you

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or similar.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in Technical Safety activities, safety management systems and safety risk assessment
  • Knowledge of Regulation and laws: Regulation EU 402/2013 and normative: UNE-EN 50126
  • Knowledge of rolling stock vehicles and maintenance
  • RAMS prediction and calculation methods and tools.
  • Other Regulations and laws: Regulation EU 2018/545, Regulation EU 1302/2014.
