Your future role 

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your PROJECT MANAGEMENT expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside expert and talentes teammates. 

 

You'll drive project / program execution, to maximize the results with respect to cash and margin whilst delivering on time, in conformity with the contract / Program Charter according to Customer / Platform expectations and the requirements on EHS. We’ll look to you fot seek constantly and propose to the Customer Director / Platform additional opportunities in the frame of the contract  Charter, ensuring Alstom Transport legal and contractual rights are protected.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Customer / Platform (for R&D programs), Partners, Project Team, Line Managers providing resources, Project Office, Support functions (Finance, Tax, Legal, etc..) and other project stakeholders).

 

You’ll specifically take care of Planning and managing the complete execution of his/her scope from transfer to close out, in line with Contract / Program Charter requirements, but also:

 

  • Lead a Project Team, including Core Team and when applicable Project Managers of internal and external partners - in line with the project structure.
  • Perform project management and contract administration according to Alstom Project Management Manual (PMM), including proactive risk and opportunity management, and in full compliance with E&C rules.
  • Ensure completion of Project / Program Performance goals to meet business objectives and customer /Platform satisfaction.
  • For Projects: Responsible and accountable for the Project Profit and Loss; For Programs: Respect the budgets and QCD objectives defined during PAB.
  • Ensure optimal quality of project/program execution and reviews.
  • Ensure that critical aspects are identified in reviews and proactively / professionally addressed and followed up.
  • Manage the situation of the project / program and its KPIs, and report to senior management, with transparency during the business/sector project reviews or PRB.
  • Make sure that key project stakeholders are aligned towards project/program goals.
  • Represent Alstom towards Customers and when applicable external stakeholders (Consortium, JV …).
  • EHS: Accountable for the proper implementation of the Alstom policy and Customer / Platform requirements by all stakeholders (internal & external) including suppliers and contractors.
  • Responsible to ensure full compliance with Code of Ethics.

 

Organization structure:  Leader of a Project/ Program or leader of sub-project within internal or external consortium or JV.

 

Report directly to: Report to the Region of Destination.

  • University degree in Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Language skills: High level in English is a must. French other language is an asset.
  • Previous experience of 5 years of relevant Project Management experience. Desirable career experience in Railways.
  • Previous experience the management of JV/UTE. Desirable career experience in Railways.
  • Good knowledge of Project management processes (background level depending on the complexity of the Project/Program).
  • Good knowledge of railway products and systems.
  • Experience in managing wide range subcontractor companies along with several different typology of products.
  • ALSTOM way of working for efficient process execution.
  • Experience of working in and with multi-national companies and in different business cultures.
  • Recognized project management qualification.
  • Experience/knowledge of contract management with Spanish administration.
  • Used to work on a goal-driven basis environment.
  • Conflict management and interpersonal skills.
  • Team spirit approach and good communication skills.
  • Abilities to obtain collaboration and “pull together” all parties involved in the project (especially in case of complex PIO).
  • Anticipation, clear reporting.
  • Leadership, entrepreneurship mindset and decision minded.
  • Strong skills and resilience to manage uncertainty.
