Could you be the full-time Industrial & Continuous Improvement Engineer in Pinto we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your continuous improvement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You'll implement and apply lean manufacturing tools in projects executed by Services as well as implement the execution tools developed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (industrial, production), collaborate to meet the objectives established by the management for Maintenance Projects and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of  driving and developing continuous improvement methodology in Services Operations but also defining the way forward in the execution of the activity.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Standardization of processes
  • Critical path / Work Balance / Task Sequence
  • Workshop layout / workstations
  • Logistics flows ( parts & tools location, double bins, kitting, kanban...)
  • Value stream mapping & takt time analysis
  • Definition of the Operations /Sub operations/Tasks of each maintenance task to be performance ensuring compliance with the Maintenance Plan
  • Creation and update of the Maintenance exams ( operations and sub_operations )  in SES
  • Develop industrial documentation: work instructions/SOS for the processes, etc.
  • Real-time monitoring of maintenance operations ensuring compliance with the established standard or analyzing any possible deviation.
  • Equipment/jigs/tools: Definition of needs ( design, building or purchase, installation & validation)
  • Apply PDCA cycles to improve maintenance processes
  • Detect needs in the workshop and propose improvements
  • Implementation lean processes to optimize resources
  • Implementation of visual management
  • Analyze SES KPIs, measurement points and control sheets to study improvements in the maintenance plan
  • Collaborate in the planning of the shift activities and resources: work balance
  • Collaborate in the improvement of the management system
  • Collaborate in Apsys deployment
  • Support SES KU
  • Support GSI KU
  • Comply with Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational health regulations.
  • Notify incidents / near misses that affect Railway Safety to its hierarchical superior and EHS managers.

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in continuous improvement environment
  • Experience in industrial sector, preferably in a maintenance environment
  • Experience with Lean methodology (mandatory)
  • Experience with SAP (user level) and other ERP’s systems
  • Experience with MS Project (desired)
  • Experience with Excel Macros programming in Visual Basic (desired)
  • English and Spanish (mandatory); French (a plus).
  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills, must be able to communicate on all levels including customer facing
  • Flexibility & Adaptability
  • Proactive in proposing solutions, initiative
  • Able to think critically and using good judgment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret research data for reports
  • Ability to manage effectively and meet firm deadlines.
