Could you be the full-time IXL V&V Laboratory Technitian in Madrid we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your signalling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You'll organize and lead project test means development to ensure Verification, Integration and Test activities for delivering a complete, correct and accurate Customer Solution in line with Project contractual requirements: documents, hardware, software and data. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering), define and execute for the global project solution, including all system interfaces, all the V-cycle activities related to in-house validation (Verification, Integration, Testing) and site functional tests and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensure the application and adherence to the reference processes, methods, and tools, requesting waivers whenever appropriate
  • Specify Test Means to be used during V&V sessions taking into account following inputs: requirement specification (RS), architecture description (AD) and interface description (ID). This document will define test means architecture but also the tools (HW and SW) needed for V&V sessions.
  • Develop Test Means in laboratory:
    • Installing HW and deploying the necessary SW
    • Configure test environmet with project applicable data
    • Defining and running tests for validating and accepting test means. These activities include power-up and communication tests
    • Reporting test results
  • Integration tests:
    • Test specification
    • Test performance and reporting
  • Laboratory maintenance:
    • Regular inspections of laboratory equipments (including UPS and air conditioning systems)
    • Receive new material
    • Manage shipments from the lab to Alstom warehouses, field or customer premises
    • OS and SW updates/upgrades
    • Ensure EHS conditions are fulfilled in the lab
    • Manage laboratory inventory:
      • Keep inventory updated according to material entries and exits
      • Identify material needs and launch new orders for current and new projects to be funded by CAPEX and CECO
  • Participate in delivery reviews (DyR) before starting activities on field
  • Support T&C team when needed. Ocassionally it will be needed to travel to perform site testing.

  • Minimum 3 years working with IXL and ICC systems preferably in design, integration or testing teams.
  • Deep knowledge of Railway signalling principles and IXL subsystem architecture
  • Experience on requirement management methodology and tools (Clear Quest, IBM Rational DOORS, Reqtify, etc.)
  • Pro-active to perform tests beyond formal procedure, debug possible faults and report them to responsible within the organization.
  • Self-motivated to improve knowledge on systems by own initiative or interacting with system engineers.
  • Spanish: fluent level both written and spoken is essential to fulfil this position’s demands.
